Platte, hergestellt aus kleinen Stücken Holz oder anderen Lignocellulosen (z. B. Hackspäne, Hobelspäne, Splitter, sonstige Abfallspäne, Flachsschäben usw. ) die durch Zusatz eines organischen Bindemittels und die einfache oder kombinierte Einwirkung von Hitze, Druck, Feuchtigkeit, einem Katalysator u. a. zusammengefügt werden. Spanplatte ist eine Sammelposition einschließlich OSB-Platte und Flachsspanplatte, ohne Holzwolleplatte und andere mit anorganischen Bindemitteln hergestellte Platten
