Unter Hauptkultur bei mehreren während des gleichen Vegetationszeitraums nacheinander auf der gleichen Fläche angebauten Folgekulturen versteht man die Kultur mit dem höchsten Produktionswert.Sind die Produktionswerte annähernd gleich, so wird die Kultur, die den Boden am längsten beansprucht, als Hauptkultur betrachtet.
